This is a view from the top deck looking north on downtown! Check out this ride with it's own private helicopter on the top deck, oh what a life! So what would you like to know?

Adventures in Paradise - Alaskan Style!Rod's "Dog House Cruise" Day 13 - Ketchikan, Alaska
"In addition to being the jumping-off point for seaplane excursions into the Misty Fjords National Monument and its 2.2 million acres of wilderness nirvana, Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit tribe. Another "must-see" here is the world's largest collection of totem poles. You can learn what motivates someone to turn a piece of lumber into a towering work of art at the Saxman Native Village and Totem Bight and Totem Heritage Center"
Day 13 - Back to Ketchikan on what turns out to be a pretty nice day! Our docking location on the return puts us at the south end of town, right in the mix of all the shopping and activities! The fish were jumping all around, people were moving, cars slowing cruising by, all in all a nice mellow day in Ketchikan!
When I said we "parked" right downtown, I mean we were part of downtown!
Here's another nice view from the top deck, well deck 11 that is, there is 12 decks total counting the basketball court! These two shots give you about 180 degree angle of Ketchikan looking east, a very nice small town.
Here was the dance band for the past 13 days. The lead singer was very popular with the ladies and dancers. This band played it all, you name it, they played it! Many nights they had the dance flow packed and some nights it one like a competition, one couple at a time on the floor, very enjoyable for the couple that could really dance and very entertaining for those of us who couldn't!
The sad part of cruising for me, the last couple of days, it's almost depressing knowing you have to leave this life in a day or so. But on the bright side, I still have a day at sea, my favorite way to relax, doing nothing at all, or whatever I want to do because it's my choice! See you tomorrow!
