Meet the "Boss" and my good friend, Wesley

So the Boss and myself set out to "inspect" all the staterooms, from a "Inside Cabin"..

"Penthouse Suite"!

Day 8 - Seward, Alaska - The "Turn-a-Round"

"Seward is a fishing village surrounded by the unrivaled beauty of the Kenai Wildlife Refuge, the Alaska Maritime National Refuge, Chugach National Forest and the Kenai Fjords National Park. As you might expect, opportunities for up-close and personal encounters with wildlife abound"

Arriving in Seward Alaska at 3:00 am most of us simply wake up to being there, not even myself saw this docking! When I asked why we came in so early I was informed it was to get the guest transferred to the airport in Anchorage, 2 hours away, in time to catch the out going flights. So by the time I got up at 8:00 am most of the guest were gone!

Since most of the guest have departed only about 30 of us remained onboard leaving the decks looking like this! For those of us doing the "Back-to-Back" cruises we were treated to a very nice "private luncheon", thank you Celebrity Cruises! We had a very professional group of waiters and our luncheon was hosted by the ship's "Food & Beverage Manger, Manfred Kaineder!

In my inspection of the staterooms onboard the Millennium I came across this great room, click this picture on your right to see what all the Concierge Class staterooms, as well as all the suites, have waiting for them when the new guest arrive, and ice cold bucket with a bottle Champagne in it!

Another great view off the aft looking out to sea and next was a very "casual" dinner overlooking the marina in Seward. Tonight was a variety from the buffet, which I made two trips, but hey I spent an hour on the tread mill and another in the spa and pool so it was all good! After my dinner I spent the couple of hours on the phone, yes lots of "Cell Service" in all the ports and even onboard out to sea if you want to spend the "big bucks" for a few minute phone call!
